Freewheel hubs

I'd say don't bother. The best saving I ever had was 2 MPG, and that was after a lot of mileage logging. Most of the time there was very little difference.
They're not without their problems. You have to remember to engage the hubs regularly to maintain the lubrication splash feed to the swivels- it you forget, then they wear quite quickly and need tearing down to fix.
Steering tends to be even vaguer with the hubs disengaged.
Then there's the scenario of needing 4WD and having to get out to engage the hubs.
Freewheeling hubs sound like a nice idea but it doesn't really work. Just my opinion. I've got them on my truck and never use em now.
Overdrive, road tyres at the right pressure and a good tune up are far better bets!

In theory you should get better mpg,less moving parts,whether you would notice a difference I don't know.
I had the warn ones on my 2A and they made a huge improvement, cos I had para's and long shackles the front prop was pushed to it's limits causing vibration on road,the freewheel hubs cured that.also I blew a front diff offroading once and it locked up solid, without the hubs I'd have been screwed I just disengaged them and off i went

i wouldnt bother ,spend the money on improving heating,steering ,suspension ,swivel housing and pins , new seats

You could always buy a pet monkey and train it to lock the hubs in if you can't be arsed to walk the 2 steps to the axle :5bsmilielol5:

And keep away from automatic ones even if free,they give your halfshafts and diff a tough time especialy in icey conditons.
