Freelander2 newbie

Hi guys and girls, I am new to land rover site, just taken delivery of Frelander2 TD4 GS Auto what a great 4 x 4 to drive hoping it tows as good as it does solo. Anybody know what MPG I should expect towing 1500Kg.

Had a funny smell out of the air con when i first start up for the first week seems to have gone at the moment. Doesn't drip from the evaporator when using the air con perhaps it is filling the heater system with water!

Anyway great to be a LR owner don't want an Indian engine though.

hi im a newer newbie .I had the same problem, took it to the dealer and was told it was oil dripped from the drain plug on to the exhaust during servicing and it would burn off. it didnt and 2 months later I had the recall notice, to disconnect the auxillery heater unit.

Has any one out there experienced turbo whine, mostly noticed when driving slowly in traffic. My TD4 has and it drives me nuts.
