hi all brought my first freelander an 03 td4..2 weeks ago...fsh...thought can't go wrong....then the rear door would not open...got that open and took the caver of to give it a good spray with wd... disconected one of the plugs and gave that a spray then the window played up...thought in might need resetting...but no good...so took it to a garage that deales with freelanders...he had not come accross this prob, before ..so decided to start from the begining.and disconnect the battrey...only to find that some one had left the live lead that attatches to the main lead was disconnected...only the rubber cap was holding it on...we also found a spanner still atatched to the clutch bleed nipple...now the bad news...he told me that that lead controls the ccu..and it could have fried it....after a hour and fittment of another ccu...quick test it was off a petrol not compatible..it comfirmed that the ccu was fried...they recone a new one would be £300+..so got to hunt for a second hand one...so if any one know of one let me know..phil......
