Hi, guys I am new to the freelanders community, just trying to figure out this vehicle, I have a 2006 freelander V6 and it keep pushing out the coolant through the expansion bottle.
I've replace the expansion bottle cap, the complete bottle, I've replace the thermostat, had the radiator remove and professionally cleaned, and just recently replaced the ETC, with all that done it still pushes coolant through the bottle.
I noticed that fans were not switching on before I had the ETC replaced, when the tech unplugd the ETC in the block the fans ran on high speed all the time and no coolant would be pushed through bottle. With the new ECT the cooling fans now switch on at temperature but only low/slow speed and never increase in speed, at low speed coolant still get to hot and pushes it through bottle. Oh and temperature never pass half way mark on gauge.
Is there something we are missing, why fans will not increase in speed?
Oh and sorry for the long read just trying to give as much information as possible.
Thank in advance for the help too guys I've learnt a lot reading through this forum.
