i've been reading all the bumpf in the faqs regarding this issue, but i have a couple of questions i'm hoping someone can answer...
1 - is this issue still relevant for a 2006 TD4 Facelift model? the tech bulletin was produced three years before the car, and surely if there was a bulletin issued, there would have also been a cure to models built afterwards?
2 - If it is this cracked chassis, why would it only be heard when the car is cold? Mine has a few bumps, groans and creaks if its been a really cold night, but after a mile or so the noises tend to cease. Although its sounding a little more creaky these last few days.
The garage has looked and said all the bushes look fine, nothing is perished. I have been told everything is tight and there is no obvious problem. The shocks don't appear to have any leaks.
The car has just under 70k on the clock and is in generally really good nick!
