My Freelander has just had a new clutch master clylinder 1 week before the warrantee ran out. Now the clutch pedal is half way down before you start as before. The car is now just out of warrantee and the dealer does not want to know.
On investigation the connection where the master cyl and slave cyl connect is not fitting together correctly. There is a gap in the connection of about 6 -8 mm which can be squeezed together but then imediately opens up again. I think this is the cause of my problem but how do I get the 2 halves to stay together? Is there a clip or something which fits over the whole lot?
