Hi, I have a 2005 TD4 and I need to change the front caliper piston dust seals, is this an easy job or do I need to be aware of any problems before I start?.

Thanks

Les

Never done ones on the Freelander but the ones I once did on a BMW. meant removing the pistons first, cleaning up the edge of the caliper where the seal/gaiter fits, install the gaiter then gently put the piston back in making sure the gaiter doesn't come adrift. Removing the caliper off the car is easy though. Might be worth fitting new inner seals as well if you have to do the same with the Landy.

Hi and thanks, I knew the pistons had to come out and just wanted to be sure that fitting the dust cover didnt require me to have three hands......... I am also changing the inner seals, having to do this because of a sticking caliper and a split dust cover..........

Thanks

Les
