Anyone know if they are available or if they are, has anyone fitted one?
I dont need one my any means.. 2 ft is the deepest i waded through and it done it fine.. I was just out and about yesterday and an X plate hippo went past me with one.. Totally standard, but had a snorkel.. Got to be honest it looked excellent.
I didnt realise it was v6 only though.. Never mind
If they brought one out for an L series or Td4 im sure plenty of people would want one??
Fitting a snorkel on the engine and breathers on the auto/manual gearbox, IRD and rear diff are good ideas. But dont forget its the sand/clay/silt in the water that causes most of the damage. Bearings and oil seals have all suffered on mine when going through water. Air con compressor clutch bearing and drive shaft oil seal both went. Hence why I dont go through the deep stuff.
Yer best to keep to low water only. You'll only break it. That goes for any car.
yeah thats the diffence DD if i sink mine it's game over and a bollickin off Doris
had it in 3 foot but won't be doing it again
Scary int it
Mine was a pig till I water proofed it, playing in big puddles would have it spluttering!

best one were...i went thorugh a giant puddle with her in it but went in too fast and it shot up inside the engine compartment.
only thing that happened was the revs went up to 3.5k for a mile and a half.
then it dried out and all was well.
mine is the mems 1.8.....i think the water ingressed a multi plug
Not happened to me yet! Probably will! Out with the Vaseline
