Freelander SE Tech SD4 Auto scrubbing front tyre and juddering

Hello everyone. I have a Freelander SE Tech SD4 Auto (2014). When in gear and accelerating, my front wheel sounds as if it is wheelspinning (I've been told this is impossible) but it has indeed scrubbed out my front tyre). What is happening, is the wheel is going round, but something is pressing on whatever makes it go round (yes, I'm a woman!) trying to stop it! Its not the brakes. I took it to a LR specialist who thought it may be the gear box. The did a torque conversion flush, but this made no difference. I took it to a gearbox specialist, who could not fault the gearbox but suggested an engine fault. I took it to an engine specialist, who said they could not fault the engine. It has now been to 4 garages, and no-one knows what is wrong with it. Im at a loss as to know what to do now. Anyone?
