Freelander 1 Freelander propshaft bearings

I is posting this as a post-it note should anyone search the subject of propshaft support bearings.

The cheap ones ain't worth it! Utter junk that lasts a couple of thousand miles. Buy cheap buy twice.

You is a young FL1 owner. Us old FL1 owners already know this and steer clear
However, to add to the confusion. I replaced one with an LR part last year. That failed after just 16 months. Luckily LR give a 2 year warranty, so it was swapped. However I'm wondering if the new LR stock is now made to a lower standard. The new LR bearing didn't have GKN or made in the UK printed on it

I used Bearmach ones last time but far too early to tell if they're going to last. Both my cars do very small mileage so it may be a long time before any issues would show up.

I'm swapping out mine tomorrow. Rear diff seal while I'm at it and NS drive shaft seal.

While I'm here EP75 for the diff???

So far the rubbers have been OK, so I just swap out the bearing only. I only use quality bearings and have not had a problem so far.
