freelander problem

as previously stated i have a 2. liter deisel freelander only had it three weeks v reg while driving at 50 miles the power will go which i have to drop from 5th gear to 3rd gear to regain my speed can any one tell me why and is this a common fault please from geoff
 
I'd do a search on "power loss", and see if what comes up matches your symptoms. There's a lot of stuff about it, related to turbo problems to dodgy maf sensors, etc
 
Similar problems with a 53 plate TD4. Numerous trips to garage, with mine the problem was injectors and injector pipes - they all had to be replaced. I would also check when you last had the fuel filters changed.
