My 1.8 '99 Freelander failed the MOT due to to high emissions. I replaced the Lambda sensor but I am not sure if it is working correctly.

I have a Hawkeye and sometimes I get the message O2 Sensor status not OK. But I have learnt that this is normal when the sensor/engine/manifold is still cold.

Yesterday I warmed the engine up, and after a short drive the sensor showed OK. I now have 0.0V and when I mess with the throttle while the car is in neutral I sometimes get 0.3V

I also see the loop status change from open to closed while driving.

However yesterday after the short drive the sensor showed NOT OK again, and voltage was 0.0V.

Is there anyone with a Hawkeye who knows what is normal and what the voltage and mixture should be?

The Lamdba sensor is new from NGK.

Did some more testing with a volt meter and a scope. The oxygen sensor returns a negative voltage??

Is there anyone out there with a Freelander MEMS 1.9 and a Hawkeye that can verify some figures?

I've managed to read all the sensors on my 1.8K (MEMS1.9) using OBD2 VAG USB Cable with FT232 chip, one like this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001038972882.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27424c4di1bzJz and Rover MEMS Diag app on Android phone: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jmp.rovermems

I was suspecting bad MEMS temp sensor, as it was hard to start when engine is warm. I have to pedal down to start it, while it starting instantly when it cold. Unfortunatley I found out that all sensors are OK, but all 4 changeable parameters: Ignition advance offset, Idle speed, Idle decay and Fuel trim are far away from defaults. Returnig them back to defaults gave me a smoother run on higher temperatures and much less fuel smell in fumes after a long run.
