freelander knocking underneath at rear

Sorry for thread revival but I'm getting a knocking/grinding sound and vibration from possible the rear passenger wheel (I guess since the vibration travel through to my left side when driving) only when I go around a roundabout fast or turn right sharply any idea?

Don't think it does it on sharp left bends yet since only had the car 1 day to find out.

you've not turned left all day?

:bounce:
A few times but only slowly since think plod might object if I try going around roundabout the wrong way to find out if I get the same noise from the rear right side. LOL

good answer ;)

jack up your rears and wobble them top to bottom and side to side to check bearing play.

then lower and wobble the driveshafts to check for play.

It's off to have a new set of tyres tomorrow so will look when I get back. Mind you it has recently had rear diff and shaft and drum brakes fitted and MOT recently which I would of thought would pick up wheel bearings?

But I will definitely jack it up and give it a wobble to see what happening. Then crawl under on ramps to have a prod after.

Mystery solved.
Had a look at it on the ramps when it had the tyres fitted. Looks like one of the bushes has gone so it was metal against metal which would explain the noise and vibration.
