Freelander Immobiliser Flashing and beeping at me

Hi all,

Just need a quick bit of advice... when I unlock my Freelander and open the door, the immobiliser light is falshing and beeping at me. Is this normal???

If not, what could it be?

Thanks cox325, your a genius!!! Changed the battery and blipped it a couple of times, now works like a dream with no annoying bleep. Thanks again.
