Hi all,

having been the owner of my first Landrover for a few months and loving it (I have the taste for a more hard-core landy in a few years) I was wondering about an LPG conversion for it.

I have hunted around and can find a few posts/articles about a freelander mk1 conversion but don't seem to find any on the freelander II (in particular the V6 IS).

Anyone have info - advice etc. that might be helpful?

Thanks all.

Chris

dont know about the v6 but I had my 1.8 converted it run fine and although the milage is'nt great the cost of the gas offsets any increase
I had a under floor tank fitted in place of the exhaust silencer and the underfloor cubby to maintain the load space in the boot ,you will have to reroute the exhaust to the near side and fit a aftermarket silencer powerflow -or such like its a bit noiser but on a v6 it should sound good:)
Or fit a tank behind the rear seat this may be cheaper but reduced boot!

It may also be advisable if you plan on off road excursions to get some form of protection to prevent the ingress of crud between the tank and the rear valance and covering the gas valve with muck and to keep the nice brass fitting from rotting away in the winter road salt lots of grease & W D 40 . Somwhere on this site there is a guy with a lifted and gas converted v6, also on you- tube a film of his v6 with loud pipes fitted ..TIDY! as they say in these parts

I think I got it wrong
I think maybe he has a NEW freelander (3.2v6?) not a face lift model
Still like your toy though!!!
