Hi all first of all want to say thanks for all the great write ups on it it has help me loads but now I have come to wire the lights up and I have relayed passenger side how you sayed but it is putting the power back throw the loom of the car and putting power to the drivers side is this a problem and if so how do I get round it ???

Many thanks David

Sorry if its a repeat I just couldn't find anyone with this problem :-(

earth the relay and 12v to relay then using the full beam to switch the relay on and power the head light which works but it sends a feed back throw the loom and lights the other side up

Sorry if I make no sense there

So do I need to solder some diodes in to the loom to stop the power going back up the loom if so what sort as am clues less on this bit

MANY THANK :)

Yes but with out the diode I will be at maplins first thing in morning :)

You are the best many thanks again :)

I didn't use a diode! Can't remember what I did now, kinda figured it out as I went, came to the conclusion every one was over complicating it:D

Actually looking at your diagram maybe I over complicated it;) picked all the wires up under the colum but used a relay instead! Same result more wiring:) saved a trip to maplins!
