Freelander Electrical fault

I have a 2001 TD4 Auto and suddenly it has developed a fault. First the indicators failed then all the dask lamps and dials failed and now also the rear wiper, hazards and some of the dash switches. It still starts and the lights work although on one occasion the alarm randomly went off and it failed to start.

I seems like there is just a loose wire or multi connector pin but I have no idea where to start. Any ideas to save me taking it to an auto-electrician?

i can't use it right now without idicators etc so I am stuck

Could be a loose battery connection. Measure the volts on the cig lighter socket. If much lower than the battery volts, it could be the switch on the rear of the ignition.

which if any fuses have you checked
