hi i have an o4 freelander td4 and have up and down movement on cv joints that enter the rear diff suspect somethings gone in diff and not cv joints, any advice regarding this problem and can i run the vehicle without diff and shafts so i can rebuild the diff myself think £400 for a new diff is ridiculous,for a couple of shot bearings. also have a slight clunk on nearside when turning suspect cv joint. propshaft and vcu removed at 40 thousand miles due to failure.
