Hi I've got a 5door facelift freelander 04. The problem is on the passenger rear door when opened it has three hindges, the middle hindge the one with the pin in is the problem, where it connects onto the b pillar I think its come off , it moves fom side to side and when you shut the door it seems to judder and some times you struggle to close it. Is there a easy fix to this I've been quoted a few thousand pounds! Saying I have to replace the whole b pillar! Any help appreciated!thanks.

Few thousand? No way. Hours labour welding it on the inside of the B pillar. Just had had it done myself. Mine was completly broken as well. All nice and smooth opening and closing now as it should be. Now the other side has started to click!
Find yourself a decent cheap body repair place and get it done. If they tell over an hours labour they are talking rubbish. BTW this section is for Freelander engines.

Hi There,
The middle hinge as you call it , is a Door Check/Strap. this prevents the door from opening to far causing damage to the hinges and B Pillar.
If you have broken the Support in the B pillar it usually signals that the Door Check has seized and should be replaced.
Its Cheap to replace the Door Check and saves a lot of hassel having THE b PILLAR SUPPORT WELDED.
HOPE THIS SAVES YOU MONEY AND HASSEL IN THE FUTURE.
