Hi everybody .. I have just got (4 weeks ago) a freelander HSE on a 54 plate I'm looking forward to any and all help to keep it rolling,thanks.

It will be mainly used on tarmac,though I would love to try some green laning now and then.nothing too dirty or muddy.!!...

I am close to Blackburn.Lancashire.

If you are looking for help wander over to the Freelander specific section, anything you need to know, search, then ask. The regular guys over there know most of what can go wrong and how to fix it:) There are a couple of very nice how tos on the more common problems as well :)

In case you're wondering what can go wrong, search the following; VCU, IRD, Diff Mounts, Cam Sensor, MAF, PCV, three amigos and injector along with leak back test).

That should keep you keep you out of mischief for a while, if it doesn't scare you into selling the thing immediately :p :D If you do get scared, remember folk come here to ask for help, so you'll see lots of reported faults.

The thing I like about the things is that most of what needs doing can be done on the drive by a half competent mechanic.
