freelander 51 not starting

it just wont start when i turn the key. the dash light up but thats it.
replaced the battery in the key fob twice and replaced the starting switch still no luck.

it seems like the immobiliser doesnt switch off. is there any way off finding out without dragging to a garage?
or anything else that could cause this

When you press the remote does the immobiliser LED (in the dash) behave normally?

Seen this before on here. Try resetting the inertia cut off switch.

i have tried the inertia switch to with no avail.
the key fob was opening the doors after a while but now does nothing. so im thinking a new key fob is in order.
