Freelander 2002 K Series Fan

Hi All,
I own freelander 1.8 K series petrol since 2002 and bought it brand new from the delership.

About a month ago all coolent went to the engine and had to replace the head gasket. Also yesterday replaced the fan thermostat.

Is it normail for the fan to not to come on?
Fan works soon as Air con is on. What should i do and is this a fault as i am bit worries if overheats head gasket might go off again.

How can i find out if fan comes on when it needed?

Help is grately appriciated.

Did yu fit the remote thermostat?


Yu do realise that the HGF is only due to poor maintenance - don't ya?

the part actually replaced was thermostat valve which connects to the horse near radiator. Nothing else.

what are the improvements or modification needed???
