Freelander 1 kv6 Fan runns at high speed always

Hi,

I need a diagram or advise on the engine cooling fan control module. There is a freely available manual online but it only covers the cooling fan in the E-box. and the 1.8 engine. Mine is the kv6. 2001

So the Fan control module has the 2 main wires supplying power and then 4 wires going to the two fans, Also two smaller wires coming in, I think one would have to be the signal wire and the second wire has 12 volts.

How can I test the system whether there is a short in the module or the wires bringing in power that is not required?

I only need the engine fan to work automatically, I do not care about AC I dont need it and I never use it.
