Hi Guys n Gals
Ive reached the point where i need help solving this issue. Please help!!

I went to start my car a few days ago and upon turning the key to Pos3 it didnt start, all dash lights came on as usual, there was no "click" from the solenoid. things ive tried, checked fuses, tapped the solenoid (worked on an old forklift i use to have :) ), metered battery and all ok but alas, no luck. i work night so i can only really do anything on my days off.
Any help will be massively appreciated.
Added info: its done around 90K miles and ive owned it for around 2 months without issue.

if you get a piece of wire and go from the terminal on the back of the starter motor at this point make sure it is out of gear and ignition on and put it to the positive on the battery if it starts then it is almost sure it is your ignition switch. I will try and get a picture tomorrow

Is the immobiliser light lit when you turn the key?

Not sure if its the same you your model year, but when you lock the car there is an LED that blinks. It goes out when you unlock the car and may come back on momentarily when you put the key ni the ignition and turn the key - but it should go out. If it stays on, then the car is immobilised.

If its not imobilised then you can try Teddy's suggestion. I would say though that it is just as likely to be the starter relay as the ignition switch.
