freelander 2. td4. 57 reg 12000 miles. battery light stays on.

thanks hippo for pointing me to this page. I have a freelander 2 td4 with the battery light permanantly on .have been advised it could be the communications wire from the alternator. does it require the alternator removal or is there a "quick" fix? Where does the wire run from and to? Many thanks for any help. Pedro 2.

Have a look at the alternator. Theres a large and small wire coming oft it. Check the small wire is still connected tight and free from damage.
