Freelander 2 mystery oil leak in cabin

Hi All

New to this forum. I bought a 2nd hand Frellander 2 (08) with 70K miles on the clock 3 weeks ago.

Discovered a mystery oil seaping through the knee airbag facia on the drivers side. Very fine oil.

Any ideas what it could be? LR garage dont seem to know. Trying to imply that it has been spilt by us rather than coming through the facia.
