some advice needed is it possible for a freelander 2 td4e. To vear to the right then on trying to rectify vear to the left uncontrollably come to a sudden stop. Still engage all gears but not be able to move backwards or forwards all due to a siezed prop shaft bearing. This is what the garage I bought the vehicle from have said only drove about 8 miles in total and what other possible damage to other components could this cause. Any advice would be helpful.

Sounds like a mechanical failure with something large, like the rear diff or gearbox PTO.

Isn't a TD4e, FWD only?

You've only had it for 8 miles?

There are various possibilities for this fault, however the technical description is that its f***d.

Just get a refund - do not entertain getting it fixed.

For something like this to happen it does make me suspicious of what the garage had previously been doing to the vehicle. It's not a common fault we hear of.

Under no circumstance have the car back, ask only for a full refund, not fit for purpose, don't let them talk you into having it repaired even for free, as that is what they would have to do anyway, run and very fast
