I would really appreciate some help from those of you with more experience than me.
I am on my second FR2 (SD4 XS Auto), and it has an identical rattle to my previous one, which never got found or cured, drove me nuts so I was please to change. The dealership have tried twice to find it, and I am now about to come to an end of the warranty period. Has any one any ideas it sounds like a CD vibrating in its tray but CD tray is empty. I feel it is coming from the nearside dash area, door or seat, but difficult to put ones head down there when driving. My wife is no help all she says is turn the radio up . I have stripped everything out of glove box, door pockets, plugged loose seat belts in.
Anyone recognise the description, and got a fix please.

Hi Richard

Many thanks for suggestion, have had a quick look this could be the site for me...........:)

My folks have that issue with their F2 - although it only started after LR did some work on it (under warranty)

Must be a common fault.

had this on mine, turns out it was the plastic trim surround where the rear view mirror sticks to the windscreen.

A bit of blu tack will prove or disprove this, then silicon sealant or hot melt glue gun for permanent solution (only needs a dab each side)

good luck

I have had a few with the rattle you describe and it has been the engine air filter box. Sit in it and slowly raise the revs and see if you can reproduce it, if you can get someone to put a hand on the box and see if it stops. If it does check the mounting rubbers.
The rear view mirror shroud is a good call also.

Thanks for your suggestions, not found the little blighter yet, but have found why Land Rover always plug in rear set belts after service, cause they rattle ...........
