Sounds like an injection timing sort of issue which could be damaging the engine long term, there may be a straightforward re-programming fix but I would have it checked out by LR ASAP and then confront the supplier for recompense. D..Hi all picked up my freelander 2 last week its great not new on a 57 plate 18500 miles on the clock 2.2 td4, very pleased with it in everyway but for what i can only describe as a rattle or pinking but only when the car is in high gear under pressure. Its just like the timings gone out that pinking that you get untill the car picks up , can anyone take a stab at what it is, should i take it to LR and get it checked would be greatful of some help jeff
