Freelander 2 doors trying to lock while driving

I’ve just bought a 2007 freelander 2 HSE

When I unlock the car it would unlock the tailgate but now when driving the car tries to auto lock itself with out success. If I lock the car with the lock button on the dash it then unlocks itself and keeps making the noise that it’s trying to lock.

Any suggestions on where to look first
