Take a look at this Gumtree ad from Belfast. I counted three times he calls a Range Rover Vogue a Jeep. :p And this is pretty typical.

I love that "EVERY CONCEIVABLE EXTRA" claim as well - I'm sure that is impossible for any car as some extras mean you can't have others.

My absolute pet hate though in LR adds is the old BMW motor chestnut. This one states "BULLET PROOF BMW ENGINE", and TBH I don't know anything about the BMW units in RR - but I would ignore that statement because I'm so used to seeing it in Freelander adverts and its pants!

Take this one for a 2004 TD4....

It waffles with s**t saying "highly superior bmw turbo diesel engine" - makes my blood boil :) In fact it shows you how much the seller knows because the full statement is "with the new for this year highly superior bmw turbo diesel engine".

People seem to assume that because it is German made by BMW it's better. If only they knew how reliable the BMW engine really is they wouldn't spout that kind of crap.

It's actually a good price and nice looking RR.
It's a shame the seller doesn't know if he's selling an L322 or Jeep though :confused:
As for the bullet proof BMW engine. That's the only reason I can think of not to buy it. That and the rest of the unreliable BMW derived drive train. :eek:
 
'Freelander' is thankfully back on the road. Wiring needed repairing, software updates on BCM, ECM, IPC and SRS module (which wasn't working). All sorted so thanks for your help and advice. Geoff
