Hi all,

I've had a search and couldn't find this so making a post about it.
I'm taking ownership of my first ever freelander this week and at present it has what seems to be just a single CD stereo.

I was looking to replace it with one with Bluetooth and while searching I came across the £210 pumpkin Android boxes on amazon that look perfect with all the connectivity I could need as well as built in Google maps and the options to add a reverse camera to it.

I called my local installer and he doesn't think it'll work with the stalk control but doesn't knkw this particular brand so isn't 100 percent. Does anyone have one of these in their freelander and can confirm if it both fits in nicely and works OK? Particularly with stalk control.

Thank you

Few considerations for you:

How many presets has the current stereo got - 6 or 10?

Does it have parking sensors?

Both those items mean different interface boxes as the parking sensor audio is routed through the factory fit headunit and if you have the 10 preset headunit you'll have fibre optics and need a different harness

Steering wheel controls are probably the easiest to sort out!

Oh so best waiting til I get it and definitely letting a pro do it the!

It does have parking Sensors and if memory serves was a 10 present unit.

Hiya sorry to revive this but I now have my freelander and love it. This is my stereo, how do I tell if it's the standard or factory upgrade? Does the number of presets just mean it's the upgrade?

Thank you
