Hello,
New member first post. Could anyone please tell me where the oil pressure switch is located on the FL 2. The oil light comes on at tick-over. I'm sure the engine is OK as it's only on 76,000.

The oil pressure sensor is under the filter housing, you will need to remove the under body tray, after jacking up the car on good string axle stands, then undo the fasteners and remove the panel & bashplate beneath the radiator.

Disconnect the wiring plug give it a spray with contact cleaner plug it back in and see if makes any difference if not then change the sensor.

I suppose you'll find out if its the pump when the engine seizes or, if its the diesel, the Turbo goes.

Get the sensor changed quick in case its something else! I'd be very cautious about using the car till you've ruled out pump failure or some other oil circulation issue.

Thanks for the advice. It's location could pinpoint the problem as I changed the oil filter recently and it leaked badly as I didn't tighten the sensor will be covered in oil. I noticed the light soon after.

Thanks for the advice. I'm fairly sure it's not an engine issue. It;s always been serviced regularly It runs and sounds 100%
