Freelander 2.0D W reg

Hi Everyone,
I'm a new kid to Freelanders. been trying to sort out my girlfriends wheels, getting the VCU, rear diff front mount and diff oil seal sorted.
ON trying to move the freelander to my local back street operating theatre, after starting her up she decided not to move infact could smell the clutch a tad.
Where once upon a time you could pull the handbrake so high you could touch your chin it now sits flat on the floor and the vehicle is stuck solid.
She has been stood for approx 3 weeks so far.
Please could anyone help.

another siezed handbrake, read the thread "back wheels locked"

Or a brake shoe lining come adrift (as in my case) locking the drum solid??
