Hi i'm struggling to find a turbo for my 1998 freelander, i have been told a rover 220 turbo will fit! can anyone confirm this? Thanks

Try ebay, but only deal with a legit Landrover trader as some unscrupulous sellers flog off brand new units which have failed the factory quality control measures.
If your happy to risk secondhand you could email this seller & ask whether it's Xedi or TD4

Hi chris2, at least some1 can be civil! Its a diesel, but i went and brought rover 220 turbo anyway and fits perfect. Apparently a lot of the freelander parts are the same as the rover 220 useful to know i thought, Thanks.

the 220 injun will fit too - much better option than the 1.8.

I got the 1999 Diesel L-series.
Been thinking about a bigger Turbo and what will fit.
In what car did the rover 220 enjin come? Or is it in a rover 220?
Unfortunately rover carrs aint a big thing in South-Africa but there is a few around...

Is it possible to increase the boost of the normal turbo,
not much, 'bout 0.2 bar or something.
Anybody tried it?
