Hi all,
Abit of help please, I have a freelander 1 td4 51 plate. Rather than spending a fortune in a garage. it has no power up hill. On a flat road it's slow but does get 70 +, any suggestions where to start, change turbo hoses!! Any help would be much appreciated

A failing MAF will cause loss of performance. The quick n dirty test is to unplug it and see if performance improves. The MIL will come on, but will go off again, once the MAF is reconnected. It will also log a MAF pending code, but that won't matter.

If performance improves while the MAF is unplugged, then you'll need a replacement Bosch MAF sensor. Don't bother with cheap ones, as they're often just as bad as an old Bosch one.

Hope this helps.
