Hi - I'm new to the forum so please bear with me. I've been reading many of your historical posts about retro fitting cruise control on Freelander 1 TD4 Autos and was wondering if someone could clarify something.

Is the Cruise Control ECU (under the driver's seat) SCB100212 required for the Auto or can SCB100211 be used? I have found conflicting accounts as to whether these are interchangeable or specifically for manual/auto. Land Rover seem confused too.

Anyone with cruise control on a TD4 auto (circa 2005) can you confirm which part number you have please? Even better those who have successfully retro-fitted on a TD4 auto please can you advise which ECU you used? I see one instance where a SCB100211 seems to have been successfully used, but perhaps sourced from an auto.

I have brand new switches and a SCB100211 installed but I'm not getting the resume function and the activation requires the the resume button to be pressed as well as the main enable dash button. Hoping to do this without programming.

Thanks in advance.

This post is 11 years old, and the OP hasn't been back on since then, so it's very unlikely you'll get a reply.

If you're having the same issue as the OP, it sounds like it needs to go on T4 to have CC activated in the ECM.

Hi
Thanks; I recognise that it’s an old post…. I’m grasping at straws as I’m struggling for answers. I think you’re right about the T4 but I’m also struggling to find anyone with a T4; I’m happy to travel. Do you know anyone?
