Hi guys, hope 2021 and its woes have not affected the 'Freelander' life too much. Its getting more and more difficult to acquire parts down here. Does anyone know a good, quick and reliable shop that can ship spare parts at reasonable dough and at a drop of a hat?

Everyone has their favorite, or will check all the sites for every order and go with the cheapest. I will check the sites, but so long as this one isn't noticeably more than another, its the 1 I use...

https://www.lrdirect.com/

They use DHL for shipping and it usually gets from the UK to my NZ door in no longer than a week - which is no longer than it can take from Auckland some times and is always a lot cheaper, even with shipping, than buying locally. They usually have a good choice of genuine, OEM and aftermarket parts. They did ship the wrong part once, but as soon as I contacted them, the right part was on its way to me with no hassles - and I got to keep some D3 hand brake shoes - or what ever they were!

I haven't bought anything since Covid though, so don't know what delays there are because of that.

Have you tried ordering yet? Im in West Coast, SA. I will try ordering from Paddocks or Rimmer Bros soon. So interested how you got on. Have ordered some stuff but they went to a friend in UK and he will forward on to me. I will need some parts for my MG Midget also so might have to go through Rimmer. With the Range Rover, MG and soon a Freelander i can see I will have to order often!

As what Grumpy said above. I've ordered recently and parts from LRDirect were quick to get here. Rimmers a very good too but their freight prices are currently quite high. Expect delays in shipping at the present time. Wouldn't it be easier if you got the bits sent directly to you?
