Hi, i have a 2001 Landrover Freelander TD4 ESX.

It has factory fitting driving lights to the front of the vehicle in a POD and bumper bar. They do not currently work and the switch inside the car does not iluminate. This leads me to believe it is the fuse that has gone. I have looked in the manual and there is no mention of the fuse. I have checked all the fuses and they are all ok.

However i have looked on the net and it seems that when these were fitted Land Rover used an inline fuse but i cannot find it anywhere on the car.

Does anyone know where it would be or have any other solutions. Thanks

21 is deffo the fuse for front foglights, whether they cover auxiliaries mounted in pods not sure.

you need to establish whether this is a genuine LR wiring kit or just wired in aftermarket.

I assume the switch is the genuine LR one which fits on the dash just behind the ignition barrel ?

If you put your hand up behind the fuseboard, there should be a plug in connector in the middle at the bottom, make sure that is secure, depending on how they're wired may only come on if the switch is on and the main beam is on, might be worth checking all permutations.

good luck.

Thanks, checked fuse and this wasnt blown, however checked the plug in connector behind the fuse board. This seemed secure but tried again after wiggling it and now all works. As Optimus Prime says it only comes on on main beam. However the light was not on ,on the sitch before checking cable and this now works as well.

Great stuff and thanks for your help.
