freelander 1 2006, help please, air con working great 6 months ago, today 35plus outside, switched on air con and only blowing warm air not cold, any easy fix please

Probably a re-gas needed, however if you've not been running it for 20 minutes per month, it's likely that a seal has dried out and leaked the gas out.
Unfortunately with AC, you need to use it or loose it, as the oil contains a special seal conditioner, which prevents them drying. If the AC isn't used, the seal conditioner remains in the pump, and the seals dry out and leak the gas out.

Do you hear the compressor starting ?
The easy fix is to go to the garage to the renew the gaz first …
Don’t trust the garage if he tells you there is a leak somewhere, you need to change the condensor ...
most of the time is only one cheap rubber seal that cause the leak ...

Interesting, they garage told me there is a hole on my one, 600£ they said. Have the parts here now, if it's only a seal:mad:. Will check the compressor as well. Sorry for the interruption.

In the 2 air con loss of gas cases that I have diagnosed and repaired, both have been O ring seals on the metal pipe join just in front of the battery where pipe is fitted to the chassis rail.
Cost to repair about £1.50

In my previous vehicule, the garage told me there is a hole condensor, and it needs to changed. So I changed it myself.
I put air pressure on the old one and put it in water, no leak

For the seals, it's better to put some air conditionning oil.
Then find another garage and ask them for refill first ... the most diffucult part of the job.
