Hi I’ve just done a clutch that was slipping and on fitting the new clutch it’s still slipping (very silly of me for not checking these things before)

the cause is actually a partially seized fork/swivel bar thing. It’s not fully coming back leaving the clutch partially engaged.

is there any way to free it without stripping it all back down, if you pull it by hand it will come back but won’t without help

any suggestions please?

Two things.
Did you clean and correctly lubricate the gearbox nose tube, where the release bearing slides on?

You can free of the release lever shaft, but it takes time.
With the gearbox in the car, your only option is to spray the top of the shaft (where it enters the gearbox) with a light lubricant, something like WD40 works to get it moving. Once free, a few drops of engine oil on the shaft will keep it free, and re-oil every oil change.
