With much help from here I have carried out many jobs in the last few weeks.
So many thanks to all.

However I have one more question honest ???

I am now putting the FWH back on and happy to say all engages and works fine. Now the problem do I put the plastic snake in before I assemble or do I but ir on when assembled as the last op before the screw.

I have tried both ways but either does not seem to work.

Any helps is much appreciated.

Thanks Tony:confused:

The 'Snake' looks like a cable tie but without the locking bit but with a washer type at the end.

Thanks Tony

Just to let you know all went fine on the FWH I found on the hub a lead in slot to put the locking plastic strap and it went back without breaking it.

Now all I need is to sort out a couple of electrical issues and down to the MOT station.

Thanks for the help over the past couple of months.

Tony

As you have found out no doubt the plastic snake thing goes in last.

DON'T brake it, you cant get replacements any more since the 70s

Sometimes impossible not to break. If you persevere and annpy every person that has, or even hints at owning or ever owning a Fairey FWH then eventually you will find them (retaining strips). I have 2 spare ones now :)

Good luck with the MOT :)

Only a couple of electrical jobs to do and I think I have found the answer on here.

Clean the earths.

Thanks again all
