Bonjour and bonnet de douche,

Just wanted to update you on my tinkerings.
Having been a fan of millers for years I decided to try something new (only because I was given it gratis :D) I poured Forte's Advanced Diesel System Treatment into my tank when I filled up this afternoon.

Forte and this product in particular seems to have a good reputation across various forums on the web (mg-rover) for example.
It states on the bottle that one bottle will treat upto 100 litres, and will lubricate clean and sparkle my injectors and diesel system as a whole.
It states that it does not raise the cetane value.

This evening I have done a bit of a trek taking my 150k xdi hippo from Oxfordshire to chester and back (about 300 miles).

Now its like a bloody whippet!:D

Most impressive is 2nd gear where im sure its as peppy as my wifes megane DCi!
I cannot believe the difference it has made. Far quicker off the mark, smoother and much noticeably quieter.

I last used millers at double dose last month and had no where near the impact that this treatment has. I dont think its meant to be used continuously like millers but once in a while for a good clean out.

Had a look its about a tenner on fleabay, please if your thinking about cleaning your injectors out, give this a go for a change!

By the way I dont work for forte, I work for Aunty Lizzie!

I used "Redex" in my TD4 and it definitely made a difference. The car is somewhat nippier now and fuel economy seems better. That said, there's mixed reviews about it online.

tried that millers **** what a waste of space and money
i use the forte stuff fookin brilliant! if you put it in with a tank full before you get to half a tank left you can feel the differance ;)

i have been using Millers diesel eco power max for the last 9 tanks of fuel, and have noticed that the last 4 tanks the MPG has dropped to 34 from 37 (no real difference in driving style) i have stopped using the additive and guess what - no difference! hhhmmm me thinks marketing should be banned!

yup!, it was steady at 37 MPG day in day out until i replaced the air filter, cleaned the EGR out, replaced the PCV filter with the BMW one, and put the Synergy on... just tried the last tank with the Synergy unit switched off - no difference.

And yes i am that anal that i record my MPG every time i fill up.

Anybody tried BG244

After reading good things about BG244 I bought 2 bottles of it.

My 1994 110 seemed a bit chuggy at 50mph, like it was holding back, poured this stuff in and within 50 miles the chuggyness has gone

had it MOT'd yesterday, the emissions test limit was 1.5 l/min mine was 0.65 l/m

When I ordered it I thought I was spending £50 on magic beans but it seems to have worked, smoother running and low emissions
