I reckon there should be a two tier sales section, it remains free to genuine forum members who take part in whatever is going on, but a charge of say £20 to those who come on just to advertise their tat for free.
Have a go in Autotrader and see how much it costs to advertise.

:amen: to that.

That would sort the problem, however whats to stop someone from signing up and posting 50 times in the word association thread to bump their count up to bypass the limit

Nothing....

But when peeps do that I delete all their posts and they start again at 0......

And if you say hello in 50 introduction threads to post in the for sales section the posts all get deleted too.;)

Just think if they joined and started a completely pointless thread about a v8 that won't start they'd have thousands of posts in no time 😜

Well I was trying to post on the wanted section. I don't think that's as 'spam attractive' as the sale section so perhaps restrictions could be different for that. Thing is. I'm looking for my first land rover and was kind of hoping to use the forum to hook me up with a RR TD6 so I could join in!

Agree with the two tier selling. Actually what they do in the Jaguar enthusiasts is charge for an advert unless you are a fully paid up member. Perhaps something like that would work..... And get some revenue in
