Morning all just a quick one as I can't seem to find a definitive answer, basically are the drivers and passenger's floors and footwells structural?

Basically have a few holes and the previous owner has done an awesome job of welding in repair panels badly and has not cut out the bad metal so now the repairs are duff.

So was wondering if it would be mot'able if I cut out all the bad metal and riv nut in some 3 or 4 mm Ali tread plate or does it need to be steel and welded.

Many thanks in advance

Yu can get replacement footwell sections.
It just so happens I have one for sale (drivers side).

Structural - yes if within 12" of a body mount or safety item ( brakes, seat belt etc).

Cheers mate its more the floor pan and not the bendy uppy bit by the pedals, will have to measure to the body mounts, where did you get the repair section as Google is not being much help for the RRC

Like MHM said panels are available YRM but also from other suppliers, MPS I think do footwells and Paddock sell some panels too.

If the floor has gone near the outside edge, you will need to weld in new metal because you will be close to the body mount. Also, check the back of the A pillar, if floor has gone, pillar likely to be well on the way as well. HTH
