Turns out my car has been somewhat messed with during it's life before me. Not least the HEVAC which was swapped for a low spec unit.

Happy to report the drivers seat (so far) has been repaired and the heat now works beautifully with an upgraded thermostat which cuts out at 45 degrees and back in at 35.

Anyway, bored with the state of the standard (dull) front fogs I decided to change them a bit.

I know they wont be to everyone's taste, but at the end of the day, it's a bit of fun and I like it so that's what matters.

So we have orange...

...and white....

The colours are switched by using the fog lamp switch, on for white, off/on again for orange.

No dazzle, no problem.

While I'm at it, we're slowly changing the John Majors underpants grey interior for a beige one.

Seats in & working (electronic adjustment, memory & heat) so started on the door cards.

Today was the drivers door and the card was minging!!

Soon cleaned up, but the handle hasn't faired well. However, my friend who owns a car cleaning & detailing company has told me she will do all handles FOC and I can also drop off the carpets to get deep cleaned and dried on their infra red system

Anyway, drivers door card. I am happy so far.

Probably wont install the carpets until summer, which is when I plan to remove the dash and recon the blend motors and blower motors as well as the heater matrix "O" rings.

It's coming together and starting to look good.

....never was fond of the grey

I'm sure those fog's are only used when needed and not on all the time? ;)

Coz everyone knows they are a pain in the Dick to oncoming drivers in normal conditions ;)

If only they were bright enough to be annoying....:D

To put you out of your misery, I'll tell you....

Since I have clear indicators and I wanted DRL's, I thought it would be good to combine the two.

I bought a pair of LED's and a pair of 3 wire bulb holders originally for 2 filament stop/tail bulbs.

The LED's are the clever part as they are orange & white.

The white is permanent until you switch on an indicator, this then cancels out the white and allows the orange section to flash.

When the indicator is canceled, the white light takes a second before resuming it's function.

They look cool as feck and they don't interfere with the indicator function so no MoT test issues

Click on the pic below and see them in action....
