flux not interested ???????????

hi all , I rang fluxs for quote , as im due to get licence back after 6 months ban for speeding due to totting up i.e. 12 points ,,,,, after lengthy time answering all questions and telling them were landyzone members they put me on hold and after long time came back said we cant cover you ??????????? so I don't really see the point of them being sponsors on here can you ????????? as after reading a lot of the threads on this site they DONT do themselves any favours or me for that matter ??????????? anyone got any pointers who will cover me ??????????

I don't know about the should/shouldn't sponsor argument. Maybe you are just seen as a higher risk than most due to your 'issues with legal speed limits', regardless as to whether you have a logon to this forum or not.

However, I am sure there are plenty of other fish in the sea for insurance. Try 2Gether as they always seemed to want to insure anything I gave them. I am no longer with them as their price just couldn't compete this year but they were always good before.

No insurer is compelled to offer insurance to a particular individual. Discrimination on race etc. is prohibited but if Flux decide that they're not interested in insuring a group of people who live in NW10, or who have been previously banned from driving, then they are within their legal right to do so.

Some other insurers will always quote, but the premium will be ridiculous. At least Flux were being honest with you.

As tetsu0san said, there are a lot of insurers in the market. There are also a lot of people who've received totting-up bans so there will be companies ready to take your business.

they will insure you, but I expect being told a price that's £10k+ could be seen as offensive, what prices are you getting from confused.com ?

I just don't like the idea of all the companies who over last 12 months have decided that they wont cover ex banned drivers under their new business schemes ?????????? why advertise for "new business " but anyway my fault for speeding and coppers fault for hiding in hedges and behind trees in the flatlands of Lincolnshire !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so cheers to you all kind regards MOZZ

P.S. I wouldnt mind but im 64 and never been done for over 40 yrs so I suppose I keep them in a job ????????????
