flasher buzzer

Hi guys thanks for all your help so far , fitted new towbar no probs , wired up electrics no probs tried on a trailer no probs , wired in a buzzer as per instuctions , buzzer sounded even without a trailer , tried it with a trailer buzzer sounds but all the lights were flashing , i checked wiring and everything was wired ok , any ideas , thanks, by the way i never changed the relay because the light were working fine with and withot the trailer , :doh:

hi larmar, just fitted towbar to my 05 td4 van.not sure about the buzzer. i got the new flasher unit for towing plugged it in after taking the other one out.it lights up the green trailer on the dash when signaling when trailer is plugged in.hope this helps tim.

As long as you have a visual indicator in the cab ya dun't need a buzzer. Just bin the fooker.

if you want to use the bzzer, you willl have to change the flasher unit and splice into the circuit that goes to the warning light in the dash, i know which i would chose
