FL2 exhaust leak, I think

Ive got what I think is a leaking exhaust, its that particular rasping sound, but its not in the exhaust under the car, 2 garages have checked. Could it be the manifold?

If you try to block off the eggsauce pipe with a rag it will force the fumes to come out elsewhere if there is an eggsauce leak. That's how most garages will find it.

Cheaper after market exhausts sometimes have a rasp sound to them so there may not be a leak, if you have one fitted.

Get someone to help you look for the leak when the other blocks oft the eggsauce with the engine running. Look underneath the car, around the engine bay and past the front wheels to see the rear of the engine from the side.

Be careful when doing this. Don't burn yerself. Don't put fingers in moving engine parts. Keep hair and clothes away from moving parts. Do it in an open space and don't breath in the eggsauce fumes.
