Freelander 1 FL1 facelift LED lightbar

It's on the "to do" list. I'm thinking that a 24" bar in the grille space will be perfect.
I'm looking at getting a CREE LED combination bar but there are low quality fakes about.

That's my concern really, finding something decent can be hit and miss. Will 24" fit? I'm sure my grill space is 23"...

Car accessory shops of yesteryear would sell spotlights galore .... nobody does now, it would be nice to just walk into a shop and view before buying... sadly a thing of the past.

Ebay is the new car accessories shop. There are many LED bars on there. They can't all be bad, but some are.
What kind of lighting requirements do you have. LED bars make large amounts of light up to 100 yards or so. Decent proper spot lights make smaller points of light but up to around 400 yards. It just depends on what you need.

I think the LED illumination seems a better option. I've seen some combination lights with a tighter spread of CREE leds in the centre and more diffuse to the side.

It's the moorland roads, ponies, sheep, cattle
 
I have a slightly rounded one that has spot led in the centre and floods either end. Got it from China - speak to @vilguy

Combination LED is a good plan. It should make a decent spread of light.
I figured combination LED is best for my needs too.
 
This was a test run in my road with it fitted...

I've 3 sat in the workshop. I'm having a clear out if you want one.

I have 2 curved and 1 straight left.
 
An LED bar that size will be bright. A 24" bar will make a lot less light. Possibly only 40% of the light output.
I expect that to the naked eye, the picture above is brighter than to the camera though.
 
this really is a minefield, there's quite a lot of outlets selling these on eBay, anyithing from £60 to £200, but most of them are unbranded. I'm going to give s mate a call who fitted a couple to his trialler 90, I'm sure he said his was about £500 though :confused:
